Exodus 6:1-8
God promised Moses, who passed it on
to the Israelites, that He would deliver them
from Egypt and take them to the Promise Land.
But He would do it His way.
His ways are always best, even if we don't think so.
God's way of delivering the people would
include plagues and miracles, trust and
obedience, even some difficult, scary situations.
Could they trust Him no matter
what it looked like? Can we?
Can you follow God through sickness,
job losses, financial struggles,
deaths, pandemics and restrictive rules, etc.?
God often takes us along paths of troubles
and trials, and heartaches and losses.
But they are His paths - paths of
righteousness (Psalm 23), steps
ordered by the Lord, (Proverbs 3:6).
The plagues may not have seemed to the
Israelites to be the way to deliver them
from Egypt, but they were the best way.
Even when you can't see exactly
what God is up to,
you can trust His heart!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we are thankful that You
always know and do what is best for us.
Help us to learn to trust You no matter what
the circumstances may appear to be.
P.S. Here’s the chorus of a song by
Babbie Mason called “Trust His Heart”:
God is too wise to be mistaken.
God is too good to be unkind.
So when you don't understand
when don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
- Trust His Heart.
